New Project - Repair/Renew/Refinish Lane Cedar Chest
Cedar Hope Chest, Part 3, Final Finish

Cedar Hope Chest, Part 2: Making the New Lid

The original lid turned out to be too warped to look good or function well. So time to make a new one!

Used some nice 3/4" walnut plywood for the field, solid walnut for the edge trim molding on front and sides, and iron-on edge banding veneer tape on the back edge. Scrubbed the crud off the hardware and got it placed and inlaid. I was able to salvage the original Lane logo from the old lid cedar veneer underside.
