A special feature of the church lectern is the Scripture verse engraving I will be placing on the top of the congregation-facing front side. I've chosen an excerpt from John 17:17, in which Jesus, while praying to His Father, makes a succinct but profound statement about God's word.
Not being a carver myself, I did some recon in the local area, and found out about another woodworker, Jamie Szulkowski, who lives in Stuarts Draft and owns a CNC. I reached out to him, and he agreed to carve the verse into the board for me. So I went to Jamie's house last evening, and he got his CNC all set up and running, and he did a great job doing the engraving. I think it looks really nice.
I appreciated his attention to detail, being willing to work with me to get the size and font bolded just right, and being enjoyable to work with. 😊
Btw, if anyone is interested in checking out his work, here is his contact info:

Thanks, Jamie! 👍
